Being a user of vintage voiced amplifiers like my Hiwatt and Blues Breaker. The SLO-100 would seem like an unusual amplifier to use. However, given the specifications and tones that this monster can produce it can do everything like my Hiwatt can, but it does all of the 80's and early 90's stuff much better than the Hiwatt. Also, I like the ability to have drastically different tones available with a few alterations to the controls of my guitar and on the amplifier. Also, for a mutli- channel amplifier it is simple and easy to use and has such a unique tone that immediately stands above the rest with anything from clean and crystalline all the way through to powerful, savage modded Marshall territory.

Also, the SLO is a rugged well-designed no compromise piece of kit that will outlast me and is built for the purpose of performance. The value of that I think is priceless as it will never let me down no matter what I play it will always pull its weight like the Hiwatt. Although very different beasts their creators built them to be the ultimate tone machine...
